It Is Never Right to Be Angry with God – just read this this morning; and it seems to agree with what I was trying to say somewhere below about feelings being the end of the conversation. Maybe not.

[update: the post referred to above was not made public. The gist of it was that people think the question "do you have feelings for me?" is the end-all be-all question of questions. "Because if you do, you obviously must act on them--you can't deny your feelings!" Which is, of course, totally backwards. What then would "resisting temptation" be? This puts the feelings in the place of the mind. I could be a married man with 31 kids and a wonderful wife and "have feelings" for my secretary. My "having feelings for her" is no permission-slip to act on them. My point was that the mind must rule the heart, so the question isn't 'do you have feelings for me,' but...I don't know; definitely something else. 3.24.05 5:38 pm by Aron]
