    Woo Hoo!

    Thanks!

I has taken a significant effort to resist leaving a sharp remark regarding your lack of blogging activity since your wedding day. I have resisted only because I am not too far removed from my own early-days-of-marriage hiatus.

Becca and I considered mantaining a mutual blog together, but it never took flight. Perhaps you and Megan would consider something like that?

All I’m trying to say is, I Miss You.

Thanks for the kind words, Scott. It’s nice to be missed. I would post more often, but I either have far too little worth saying (theology, reading, politics, philosophy), or far too much to say to know where to start and what to leave out for the sake of time and space and privacy (marriage, sanctification, joy, desperation, gospel application). And, as you know, it doesn’t appear that the dust will be settling anytime soon (let the reader understand)…

Either way, thanks for not deleting my link from your bookmarks!

I heard a great joke the other day. It goes like this:

Scott Pearce still sometimes checks Aron Gahagan’s blog for new content!

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Honored as I am by your loyalty and reckless optimism, let me save you some time in the future, my friend:

Firefox + Sage = Time Redeemed

    Nothin’ but love,

You call me friend, but how little ye know me. Your suggestion reeks of technology designed to simplify (read: eliminate) a routine of my daily life, that is checking your blog from Greg’s blog, which I check from Lizz’s blog, which I check from Joel’s blog, which I check from Becca’s blog, which I check from my own. If nothing else, it looks like something designed to help me stop doing something the long way.

I do not own a digital camera and I still use send-away film developing services. I do not make pancakes from a box mix, nor does my wife buy pre-made pie crusts. I do not own a leaf-blower or a lawn sprinkler. I do not have power windows, power locks, or cruise control in my truck.

Sweat, patience, and extra mouse clicks. That’s how I roll.

O kindred spirit: agreed, most things ought to be done the long way, such as reading, writing, thinking, listening, dressing, tea and coffee preparation, shaving, romancing, chopping wood with a (sharpened) axe, and even your admirable clinging to vintage photography practices. However, though it’s true what our esteemed Mr. Lewis said, that “‘new’ doesn’t always mean ‘improved,’” surely sometimes it does?

Whatever the case, as it pertains to technology, to each his own: your antiquated roller-ball mouse ways are certainly welcome here. Click on…
